Christchurch Earthquake... The 6.3 magnitude Main Quake that struck New Zealands south island has devastated Christchurch, Canterbury, and Lyttleton. Severe Aftershocks still rock the active area, with Aftershock magnitudes of up to 5.5 on the Richter scale. The Christchurch Earthquake has Demolished many buildings in the picturesque City, and taken a heavy toll on the lives of the people there. Since September 2010 the Christchurch Area has been repeatedly struck by aftershocks of the September main Quake, and The February 22 Earthquake with its epicentre near Lyttleton Harbour has further devastated the already shaken City buildings, bringing many crashing down around the population.
